Red Tempel Flag

A celebratory red flag used in the year 1958 at the Fukuouji temple in Hiroshima. The flag shows the crest of the famous Ōta clan. This was a samurai kin group which rose to prominence in the Sengoku and Edo periods of Japanese history. The flag is very large and in great condition. It shines brightly in the sunlight.

The flag says Showa 33, that is 1958.
